About Air Burkina
Burkina Faso, a French-speaking country in the centre of West Africa, established the Air Volta airline on March 17, 1967. The first French-speaking airline in West Africa to receive IOSA safety certification was Air Burkina in 2010. The national carrier of Burkina Faso, Air Burkina SA, offers scheduled flights from its base at Ouagadougou Airport to only one domestic location, Bobo-Dioulasso, as well as international flights to Togo, Benin, Mali, Niger, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, and Ghana. There are two airports in Burkina Faso that offer regularly scheduled flights. As of May 2017, the government of Burkina Faso owns the airline.
