About AIR Chatham
In order to provide residents of the Chatham Islands with a reliable, safe aviation service to the New Zealand mainland, Craig and Marion founded aviation Chathams in 1984. Craig, who is a pilot, piloted the plane himself. He began with a small single-piston plane and now flies 50-seaters between the Chatham Islands and Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch on a regular basis. The largest privately owned airline in New Zealand, Air Chathams, flies to a number of regional locations, including Whakatane, Kpiti Coast, Whanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, and the Chatham Islands. Norfolk Island is serviced by Air Chathams as well from Auckland.
