About Air Japan
A charter airline called AIR JAPAN is based out of Japan’s Narita International Airport in Narita, Chiba. Under the ANA name, it runs regular services. On April 2, 2010, it was announced that Air Japan and ANA & JP Express would merge, with Air Japan emerging as the victor. With the exception of flights to and from Seoul Incheon, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Honolulu, which use the Air Japan call sign, All Nippon Airways and Air Japan share the same call sign on all flights. On June 29, 1990, World Air Network was founded as the charter division of ANA. Air Japan discontinued operations in September 1995. World Air Network was rebranded as Air Japan in 2000, and the airline resumed operations that year, with its inaugural flight departing from Osaka.
