About Air Mediterranean
Beginning as a scheduled airline, Air Mediterranean had the goal of connecting underserved cities in the Middle East and Europe. But in 2017, they stopped offering any scheduled flights in favour of focusing only on charter flights. They only fly in economy class because they are a leisure-based airline, unlike some airlines which charge for 20kg of checked bags. The airline currently has one B737 in their fleet, and as of 2019, that aircraft was 29 years old. With Athens serving as a base, the airline intended to bridge the gaps between nations with limited or no connection by connecting Europe with the rapidly growing markets of the Middle East and Africa.
