About Air Seychelles
After Air Mahe and Inter-Island Airways merged, the Seychelles government created Air Seychelles on September 15, 1977. The Republic of Seychelles’ flag carrier, Air Seychelles, has its headquarters at Mahe Island’s Seychelles International Airport. Etihad Airlines owns 40% of Air Seychelles. Both airlines have worked together on a long-term business plan as part of the strategic equity partnership, which calls for Air Seychelles to refresh its fleet, utilize Etihad Airways’ resources and broad global route network, increase sales prospects, and maximize efficiencies.
