About Air Tanzania
The national airline of Tanzania is Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL), which has its main hub at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam. Following years of decline and growing debts, the Tanzanian government injected $194 million USD into the struggling airline in May 2021. Mr. Ladislaus Matindi has been chosen by the government to serve as the airline’s CEO and is in charge of the restructuring initiative. Currently, Air Tanzania’s fleet consists of five DHC-8-Q400s, two B787-8s, one A220-300, and two B787-8s. Air Tanzania has been given strong orders to run its business profitably, market aggressively, and provide exceptional customer service.
