About Air Tindi (8T)
A Canadian airline called Air Tindi is situated in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Both scheduled and on-demand charter services are offered by it. The airline was formerly controlled by the Arychuk family and has Yellowknife Airport as its primary base of operations. In the local Tch Yati language, the term Tindi means “the big lake” or “Great Slave Lake”. Two families, Alex Arychuk and his wife Sheila, and his brother Peter Arychuk and his wife Teri, founded Air Tindi. With four float/ski planes, it started operations on November 1st, 1988. With assistance from the Rae-Edzo Development Corporation, it acquired its first De Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter in 1990, enabling the airline to develop and offer more services to the expanding mining exploration sector. 1991 saw Air Tindi
