About Alliance Air
Beginning commercial operations on April 15, 1996, Airline Allied Services Limited, doing business as Alliance Air (previously Air India Regional), delivered flights to Tier-2 and Tier-3 destinations from base stations in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Bhopal. Through its hubs, Alliance Air also offers chartered services to international locations. With the start of the Shimla-Delhi service on April 27, 2017, Alliance Air served as the launch carrier for India’s Regional Connectivity Scheme, popularly known as Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik. Previously, Air India had full ownership of Alliance Air. Alliance Air declared the company would “no longer be part of Air India after its disinvestment, and will run as an independent Business Unit under the Government of India” in April 2022.
