About Animawings Airlines
Anima Wings Aviation S.A., operating as Animawings, is a privately owned charter airline based in Bucharest, Romania. On July 18, 2020, Animawings began operations, flying an A320 (YR-AGA) between Bucharest and Thessaloniki. Aegean Airlines announced in March 2020 that it has acquired a 25% share in the airline. The airline is 75% owned by the travel agency Memento Group. In July 2020, the airline received its Air Operating Certificate (OAC), and it started flying charter passengers. The airline started selling tickets on its own website in January 2021 from 11 airports in Romania to places in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
