Bhutan’s first private airline is Tashi Air Pvt. Ltd., doing business as Bhutan Airlines. Its headquarters are in Thimphu.On October 10, 2013, the airline restarted operations and launched its first foreign trips to Thailand and India. From the beginning of service until June 2012, the airline flew to and from Kolkata to Paro, Bhutan. However, after reaching an agreement with the Bhutanese government, the airline has resumed its full schedule of flights, including those to and from Kolkata.
