About Breeze Airways (MX)
Breeze Airways, an American low-cost airline, is headquartered in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. The airline was founded by David Neeleman, who was also a founding partner of Morris Air, WestJet, JetBlue, and Azul Linhas Aereas. Breeze’s operations got underway on May 27, 2021, with a flight from Tampa International Airport to Charleston International Airport. In June 2018, Neeleman announced plans to start a new American airline with money from Robert Milton, Henri Courpron, Michael Lazarus, a former JetBlue board chairman, and himself. The airline would be known as “Moxy Airways,” and Neeleman would hold the only shareholder position. With the exception of JetBlue, which Neeleman co-founded in 2000, all 11 of the country’s major carriers were successful as a result of consolidation, and they thought there was room for one more.
