About Calm Air (MO)
Providing passenger, charter, and freight services in northern Manitoba and the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut, Calm Air International LP. Exchange Income Corporation, which has its headquarters in Winnipeg, Manitoba, owns it. In 1962, the airline was founded and operations commenced. It was started as a charter service in northern Saskatchewan by Carl Arnold Lawrence Morberg (1936-2005) and his wife, Gail. In the Northwest Territories, it took over the Transair passenger service in 1976. Many of Lamb Air’s passenger and cargo routes were transferred to Calm Air in 1981. In 1987, Canadian Airlines bought a 45% stake in Calm Air. On April 8, 2009, the Exchange Income Corporation (EIC), which also owns Perimeter, purchased Calm Air.
