About Chair Airlines
Chair Airlines (previously known as HolidayJet and Germania Flug AG) is a Swiss owned charter, formerly a subsidiary of Duesseldorf-based bankrupt airline, Germania. The carrier was created as part of a joint venture with travel agency Hotelplan. Based at Zurich International Airport, Chair Airlines offers flights to locations throughout Europe and Northern Africa. On October 31, 2015, Hotelplan Suisse ended its partnership with Germania Flug AG. The parent company Germania stopped operating on February 5, 2019, but Chair Airlines, which is currently owned by Albex Aviation (50.01%) and Enter Air (49.99%), was unaffected. On July 1, 2019, Germania Flug AG changed its name to “Chair Airlines AG.”
In collaboration with the German airline Germania (who also provided its corporate design) and Swiss, the airline was launched in August 2014.
