About Chengdu Airlines
Chengdu Airlines Co., Ltd., a branch of Sichuan Airlines, is a carrier with its main office in the Shuangliu District of Chengdu, China (Chinese: ; pinyin: Chéngd Hángkng gngs). From its hub at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, it runs a network of regularly scheduled domestic passenger flights. The first ARJ21 user is Chengdu Airlines. The company was established in 2004 by a former executive of China Northwest Airlines and was initially known as United Eagle Airlines CO., LTD (simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Ynglián Hángknggngs, also known as UEAir). The necessary funding was provided by the Vickers Financial Group.
