The name “Divi” is a colloquialism for Divi Divi Air N.V., a diminutive regional service airline based in Curaçao that was founded in 2001[1].[2] The area’s native Divi-divi trees served as the inspiration for the airline’s name. In 2001, it began operating with a fleet of Britten-Norman BN-2P Islanders after being created on July 28th, 2000. Divi Divi Air has operated a passenger flight between Curaçao and Bonaire for more than 20 years. The airline added Aruba as a destination in February 2018.
