About Eurowings Europe (E6)
Two low-cost airlines, Eurowings Europe, are registered in Malta and Austria, respectively. They are sister firms of the German Eurowings and subsidiary of Lufthansa. According to ch-aviation’s January 2016 report, Eurowings Europe planned to launch operations in the middle of the year and operate flights across the continent from a primary base in Vienna. On June 23, 2016, Eurowings Europe made its first flight from Vienna to Alicante, almost a week after receiving its air operator’s certificate from the Austrian civil aviation authority. It has adapted the corporate design of Eurowings, its German sibling airline.
