About Malta Air (AL)
Low-cost carrier Malta Air is situated in Malta. Ryanair and the Maltese government have partnered on it.Six ex-Ryanair planes were used when the new airline first started flying. With ambitions to grow the network further, Ryanair wanted to transfer 66 of its flights to and from Malta to this new carrier.These plans were altered in May 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 incident, which led to the termination of 33 out of the 179 pilots and cabin crew.
