About SalamAir (OV)
Muscat National Development and Investment Company (ASAAS), which received a government contract in January 2016, is the owner of Salam Air. The State General Reserve Fund, Muscat Municipality, and various pension funds collaborated to create ASAAS in 2014. The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) of Oman issued a request for proposals in 2015 for a low-cost commercial aircraft operator. The airline uses three Airbus A320-200s that it has rented from the South American LATAM Group. In celebration of the nation’s National Day on November 18, 2016, its first aircraft touched down in Muscat. There are 33 destinations served by its flights.
