About XpressAir (XN)
Xpress Air was founded in 2003 and it is a domestic airline. It directs flights to the eastern parts of Indonesia and Malaysia in 2005. Xpress Air was the first privately owned, scheduled airline in Indonesia, connecting Jakarta to 24 domestic destinations including Makassar (previously known as Ujung Pandang), Ternate, Sorong, Manokwari, and Jayapura. Makassar served as the major hub for all flights from Java to Indonesia’s eastern towns, while Sorong served as a secondary airport in Papua, linking rural areas around West Papua. In 2021, the airline discontinued its operations.
